Building Africa's Next Generation of Sustainability Leaders
CAfF exists to close Africa's sustainability talent gap — through education, scholarships, community, and a network of certified professionals driving meaningful change.
“To build a generation of African sustainability leaders.”
We do this through accessible education, strategic scholarships, and a growing professional community — connecting young Africans to the knowledge, credentials, and networks they need to lead sustainable development on the continent.
“A sustainable Africa by 2040.”
By 2040, CAfF envisions a continent where 1 million trained professionals drive sustainability in every sector — with 20 national chapters, 50,000 certified leaders, and deep cross-sector partnerships enabling Africa to meet its SDG commitments.
How CAfF Fits into the GIMS Ecosystem
CAfF is the community and scholarship engine of a three-tier ecosystem that takes young Africans from aspiration to globally recognised certification.
CAfF recruits young African professionals, builds community, and awards 50% scholarships to qualifying members.
TQT delivers world-class ISO management systems and ESG courses — accredited, professionally facilitated, and assessment-based.
GIMS certifies organisations and professionals at the highest international standards — anchoring Africa's quality and sustainability infrastructure.
CAfF's Five SDG Alignments
Every CAfF programme and initiative is designed to directly advance five United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Quality Education
We expand access to quality professional education in sustainability, quality management, and ESG across African nations — removing barriers of cost and geography.
Decent Work & Economic Growth
By equipping young Africans with internationally recognised certifications, we directly create pathways to decent work in high-demand QHSE and sustainability roles.
Reduced Inequalities
Our scholarship programme ensures that cost is not a barrier to professional certification — levelling the playing field for young Africans regardless of background.
Climate Action
We train sustainability leaders equipped to address the climate challenges facing Africa — from carbon management to environmental governance and ESG reporting.
Partnerships for the Goals
Through strategic partnerships with TQT, GIMS, employers, and academic institutions, CAfF builds the cross-sector networks that accelerate sustainable development.
Our 2040 Impact Targets
CAfF is building toward a measurable, transformational impact across Africa by 2040. These are the targets that guide every programme and partnership we launch.
How CAfF Came to Be
CAfF grew out of a simple observation: Africa has the talent, ambition, and need — but too few young professionals have access to internationally recognised sustainability credentials.
The Problem is Identified
GIMS founders recognise that Africa's sustainable development gap is largely a talent gap — too few trained professionals in QHSE, ISO management, and ESG disciplines.
TQT is Launched
Training & Quality Technologies (TQT) is established to deliver accredited ISO and ESG training courses across Ghana and West Africa.
CAfF is Founded
The Change Africans Foundation is established to create a scholarship pathway and community that makes professional certification accessible to all young Africans.
The Partnership Begins
CAfF and TQT launch the Sustainability Leadership Programme — awarding 50% scholarships to qualifying young professionals across Africa.
2040 Vision Formalised
CAfF formalises its Vision 2040 impact targets: 1 million trained, 50,000 certified, 20 country chapters — Africa's sustainability talent pipeline at scale.
